We bet your children and your families are looking for a little fun these days! Thank you to the large number of people who completed the survey last month about the elementary school events. The information you provided was instrumental in guiding our decisions to move forward. Unfortunately, with COVID still part of our daily lives it is not prudent for us to continue in-person events for the Father Daughter Dance or the Mother Son Bowling.
Thanks to your feedback, plans are in progress to do a virtual Family Scavenger Hunt to keep members of our community connected with each other when face-to-face gatherings are not possible. A planning committee is developing plans to adopt a digital scavenger hunt platform for virtual and remote games. This will be an app based game that encourages families to think outside-of-the-box and utilize items found in their own homes and neighborhoods. Players will complete missions through the app, while also being able to see what others are up to through the activity feed of text, video and photo submissions. This event will run January 30th through February 7th, which also happens to be Catholic Schools Week.
The missions are designed so that your family is your team, and all families can participate. This scavenger hunt is also open for all LCSS families – from preschool and elementary families to high school families. Additionally, we remain focused on developing programs that are faith, family and mission focused, and many of the missions will include our Gospel Values and other faith components.
Please keep an eye out for more information to come.
